Clothing Designer - Theresa Fox-Byrne

Theresa Fox-Byrne Designs are unique one off pieces with a twist of artistic flair that will stand out in any crowd. They are created from upcycled woollies and where possible luxury wools and fabrics. Some are made from old designer pieces that have been discarded and pre-loved garments find a new way of being recreated into something special to wear.

Having trained as a textile designer in the 80’s Theresa worked in UK manufacturing for years before travelling into Europe where she spent time developing many amazing and creative styles. By working with recycled fabrics Theresa has found a niche for her designing skills and in doing so, she has brought new meaning to the concept of recycling discarded woollies.

Theresa’s current designs can flatter all shapes and sizes. They can be worn in all sorts of ways to create a number of different looks. Free falling or pinned, her waterfall garments can flatter the rounder figure. They are fun to wear and the detail helps define the garment. Many can be worn as part of the layering fashion.

Theresa cannot repeat her designs; each creation depends on her artistic vision on the day it is made. She works with fabrics as she finds them and her outside washing line is always full of woollies drying in the Welsh countryside sunshine and breeze.

When the mood takes her Theresa will take the scissors to an old jumper and cut it up to create a new arm or quirky part of an animated design, from the old she will reinvent the new and in doing so offer you something inspirational to wear which will make the wearer feel truly special.
