Clothes Designer - Nicola Rufus
Nicola was inspired to design her fun range of fleeces from the vintage collection of clothes she sells at The Bank House in Bude, because of the often windy, cool summers on her nearby beaches in Cornwall.
She runs " an all girl Cornish Firm" called Kernow Fleece and some of her designs reflect the cowl shape neck lines of the 1950's whilst the waterfall front garments allow plenty of “wrapping” room for snugly warmth.
Some of her fleece designs can be dressed up for that Barbeque evening with a belt or pin, whilst the ponchos are so universal they can be worn almost anywhere – festivals, country side walks, shopping trips, beach, evenings in town and not forgetting those cosy days “at home”.
The bright but subtle colours in lightweight soft fleece add comfort and style to the designs which vastly upgrades the practical but often boring fleece! They are easy to pack for travelling and weigh next to nothing so wearing them couldn’t be easier. The "all age" (toddler to grandmother) girls’ range adds sophistication to the practical fleece which is fun to wear, whilst the range available for the boys add a colourful flair to keeping warm.
